The antidote to fear is curiosity. is a 4.5 minute short philosophical meta-cinematic work examining humanity’s evolving role in an age of AI.
In it, I’ve used an AI recreation of my image and voice to walk through cultural and technological conversations around authorship, selfhood, and human purpose.
My intention when using AI isn’t primarily to strive for realness. AI has different boundaries and strengths, and as an art tool, I view it as a different medium to traditional videography. The “mistakes” we see in AI creations have and will continue to disappear the more advanced these tools get.
While it’s still here, I’m trying to lean into the -Unheimlich- aka the creepy/uncanny valley aspects of self-propagation.
